Dr.B.Janardhan Reddy, Commissioner, GHMC directed to all the ZCs,Dcs and Engineering officials to display list of monsoon Emergency team with relevant information of the names mobile Nos. at their respective offices and also to keep the information on the website for awareness of the citizens during emergency situations and further instructed to the A.C. (H&S) and all the ZCs to provide radium jackets right from AEs to ZCs level and all field officers to identify themselves while performing their duties in emergency situations and on field inspections.
The Commissioner, GHMC held a detailed review meeting with all the A.C.s ZCs DCs and senior officials of Engineering and Town planning with regard to Property Tax, Trade license, Swach Sarvekshan, Haritha Haram, Sports, Desiltation of Nalas, critical points of Nala widening, water stagnation points for monsoon, change over to LED lights pending court cases and various other issues pertaining to developmental activities at GHMC Head Office, today.
While interacting with the officials the Commissioner said that Nala desiltation works to be taken proper care on top priority and also to concentrate on water stagnation points, low lying areas and make use of monsoon emergency teams when there is no emergency works or heavy rains to utilize their services for debris lifting and other important issues duly deploying Community
Resource persons in coordination with SFAs, Auto trolley drivers etc to ensure 100% garbage lifting from households and also to create awareness not to throw garbage waste etc into the nalas for free flow of water rain water in the nalas during heavy rains.
The Commissioner, given certain directions to the Engineering officials while taking up digging works etc, to display sign boards at the working site so as to know the information to commuters to avoid accidents, death traps during heavy down pours. He further instructed to the ZCs and DCs to identify the open spaces and lands for getter utilization for overall developmental activities.
The Commissioner, opined the DCs who have transferred to other circle offices be intimated about the critical issues of various nature during their tenure to the successor so as to enable them to take up the works in a more appropriate way.
The Commissioner also discussed about property tax, trade license to achieve 25% more growth for this financial year and also to bring un assessed properties into tax net. The Commissioner informed that around 500 dogs have come under Maa Inti Nestham project. Discussions were also held with regard to Haritha Haram, Led lighting, provision of individual and Community toilets and also on pending court cases.
